Meet Our Head Roaster

I'm what most people would call a bit of a nerd. The subject? It doesn't really matter. I find a way to get in there, root around, and really geek it up. Take coffee roasting, for example. A decade ago I said to myself "I like coffee....I should build a coffee roaster!" And I did — the love child of a Stir Crazy popcorn popper and a Sunpentown convection oven. The first time I fired that sucker up (and burned the living daylights out of the beans) I knew I was in love. There were stats, figures, data points.....the kind of stuff that get people like me all worked up.

With this propensity for geekery, comes the never-ending urge to learn and get better at my craft.

In early 2015, I walked away from a career in IT and started Reboot (get it)? Alongside my wife, Rachel, we had a simple goal: to craft incredible single origin coffee, connect with amazing people, and redefine what it means to be an approachable coffee company.

What does that mean for you? Better coffee, fueled by science, obsession, and a healthy dose of caffeine-induced enthusiasm.
